Google has commemorated the beginning of Lok Sabha elections 2024 in India with its new doodle that depicted the index finger marked with blue ink. This symbolic representation signifies the nationwide voting process for the first phase that is underway.
Google Doodles are changes made to the Google logo, designed in remembrance of important dates, auspicious occasions, local and global themes and even notable personalities who have made remarkable contributions for the development in their respective domains.
The first of the seven–phase exercise is being held in 102 seats across 21 states and Union Territories. The polling commenced at 7 am and will end at 6 pm. The last phase will be conducted on June 1 nationwide, with counting to take place on June 4.
